Meatballs

The original Jae Joo Noodles located at Worachak Market still opens its house to serve its regular customers. The first noodle house at this market works every day, starting from the early morning. The various kinds of meatballs are freshly homemade every day, ie, fishballs, fish strips (Heu-Mee in Chinese), fried shrimpballs, minced meat tofu (Ba-Eee in Chinese) and so on.

The price of the noodles and the meatballs are a bit high, but it's, well, reasonable,though these days the noodles soup and the fishballs, in my opinion, are not delicious like in the past much. Yet, other kinds of the meatballs are still highly recommended.

In childhood, having time there is so special. Mom also loves to buy its meatballs home to cook her own marvelous noodles for us.

Another branch the meatballs lovers can visit is at Klong Thom.

Here are tall hot moccha and tall coffee jelly frappuccino.

Siam in Blue

The atmosphere of Siam Square today after the riot is different from what I experienced, not much crowded though it is Sunday and the end of the month, not much cheerful like the past, though the lines of discounted clothes are stretch throughout every soi of Siam. Well, dunno why?? Or the sunny sky??

A series of cool treat

First one is snow ice in Eam Mee Pee Mun by Jakkajun. A small cup sweet ice topped with strawberry and mango. Sweet and cool!

The second is the a piece of big croissant and two sample pieces of sandwich with a tall chocolate frappuccino from Starbucks and a grande hot moccha.

My Breakfast

My morning usually starts with this special hot dish; omelette, 2 eggs. The cooker adds tomatoes and spring onion. Eating with brown rice is a genuine delicious. Later, I sometimes opt to 2 fried eggs, my favourite.

There are also fried chicken and pla-tu (what is this kind of fish called in English??). (The cooker must love salty food as he puts much fish sauce when cooking so I sometimes, if got chance, season by myself, and with no MSG.)

Selling hot and cold beverages are not bad here with variety of affordable drinks offered.

Pedestrian

The normal scene on the pedestrians I get used to all around this whole city is the peddlers and their carts offering the food, desserts, drinks, fruits and so on.

Apart from helping us relieve from the hunger or filling up our stomaches, they also made this city colourful, not to mention the walkway obstruction.

Every Monday with the restriction of sale, I feel the city is lonely which I dislike because this is what I called Bangkok City.

Krua Dok Mai Khao

Located on Krungkasem Road, around Hua Chiew Hospital, not in the heart of crowded place since along the road is a bit quiet when the sun is set. Yet, it is surprising that Krua Dok Mai Khao Restaurant (White Flower Restaurant) is full with diners every time I visit (all are dinner time).

The restaurant serves Thai and international menu like others.

The taste is quite good and the price is, well, you know, let's say, reasonable, neither much expensive nor cheaper than others.

Desserts are also recommended after meal. I love its coconut ice cream. Next time let's try a piece (or more) cake. hehehe.

It's not my first time as indicated, today I decided it's time to blog some info of this fine restaurant.

Krua Dok Mai Khao is named by H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The nameplate shown here is written by Her.

Caesar Salad, my order, I managed this dish without problem.

Spicey Fettuchini with Italian Sausages, my order, but mom likes it.

Deep-fried Salted Chicken, Mom loves it! Also, my sis.

Poh Piek Soed, another dish of my mom, but I dislike it ka.

The dessert is the first time I taste. This is Fruit Salad Ice Cream. Two scoops of ice cream, I chose coconut and green tea. The marvelous is coconut. Superb! Expensive for this small treat!

Bacon salad is one of many dishes that is not traditional Japanses served in Fuji. Not much high premium but not bad.

Reminiscent joy

Just like past months, the weather is still very hot. Wonder what's the temperature going to be for the next ten years?? It is going to be as high as 50 celcius!!!!???? Maybe! This is what everyone worries, the effect of the global warming! So I need to have another home aboard?? :) How can the little girl like me?? Ja rorn pai teung nai nieeeeeee?!!!!!!


Today the little boy of my senior colleague went to study in full uniform the first day. He is a kindergarten boy with the school bag that is reminiscent of my past childhood. Though I cannot picture myself having this type of bag to the school, what is still vivid in my mind is the picture of my dearest mama carrying my two bags and my younger sister's two bags in her two hands when we were in the prathom level. Our school bags were packed with many books and stationeries. We walked to the school everyday. She did this hard job every morning and evening in order to save her children from the backache and let us walk hand in hand.

Nothing is worth than the motherhood! I love you my Mamma!

เศรษฐศาสตร์ในกรุงเทพมหานคร

ในที่สุดก็จบการอ่านหนังสือเล่มนี้จนได้ "เศรษฐศาสตร์ในกรุงเทพมหานคร" ของ นรินทร์ โอฬารกิจอนันต์ จบแบบไม่ค่อยรู้เรื่องเท่าไหร่ ที่ว่าอ่านจบจบวันนี้นั้น ก็เพราะเล่มนี้อ่านค้างไว้มาเป็นปีละ เวลาอ่านเล่มไหน อ่านไม่เคยจบเสียที เห็นหนังสือน่าสนใจก็ซื้อ ๆ มา พยายามปรับปรุงละ ไม่งั้นเดี๋ยวกลายเป็นหนึ่งในคนไทยที่อ่านหนังสือน้อยเล่มต่อปี

ส่วนที่ว่าจบแบบไม่ค่อยรู้เรื่องนั้น ไม่ได้โทษหนังสือนะ เพราะหนังสือเขาพยายามทำเรื่องง่าย เอาสิ่งรอบตัวมาเป็นตัวแทนในการสอนให้เข้าใจ ซึ่งแรก ๆ ก็พอเข้าใจดี สำหรับเศรษฐศาสตร์จุลภาค (แม้จะต้องอ่านวนไปวนมาหลายรอบ อ่านแล้วอ่านอีก ใช้หัวที่ไม่ค่อยมีทางเศรษฐศาสตร์ของเราหมกมุ่น ครุ่นคิดอยู่หลายตลบ) พอมาถึงส่วนหลัง เศรษฐศาสตร์มหภาค โอ้ มาย ก้อด อะไรกันเนี่ย นี่ขนาดหนังสือที่ทำมาให้เราอ่านเข้าใจง่ายนะ ถ้าไปเรียนเศรษฐศาสตร์เข้าจริง ๆ สงกะสัยจะโดนไทร์

มีเนื้อหาหลายเรื่องที่ไม่ค่อยเข้าใจ ว่าจะต้องถามผู้รู้ให้ได้ เช่น
จีดีพี เงินเฟ้อ เงินฝืด การลงทุน ดุลการค้า

เรื่องที่เพิ่งเข้าใจอย่างถ่องแท้ หลายคนเข้าใจกันผิด ใช้คำผิด ก็มีเยอะ เช่น
เรื่องของอุปสงค์ อุปทาน คือว่า
จริง ๆ แล้ว "ความต้องการ (Demand)" โดยทั่วไปเราไปแปลสับสนกับ "ปริมาณที่ต้องการซื้อ(Quantity demanded)" ซึ่งคำหลังเป็นสิ่งที่ยืดและหดได้ แล้วแต่ราคา

ผู้เขียนกล่าวไว้ว่า คำแรกนั้นมีลักษณะคล้ายกับ "แผนของการจับจ่ายใช้สอย (Buying Schedule)คือ ปริมาณที่ต้องการซื้อที่ระดับราคาต่าง ๆ เมื่อสินค้าราคาเพิ่ม "ปริมาณที่ต้องการซื้อ"จะลดลง แต่ "ความต้องการ" ไม่ได้ลดลง

เรื่องค่าเสียโอกาส (Opportunity Cost)ถือเป็นต้นทุนที่แท้จริงของแรงงานและวัตถุดิบ เวลาคิดคำนวณต้นทุนเราต้องคิดถึงเจ้าตัวนี้
